A Message From Greenfield Communications

Dear AmerAmerige Heights Homeowners:

Greenfield Communications is your internet service provider in the community.  In November 2003, Greenfield anticipated the fast growth of the community and made provisions for high speed circuits that will
increase the available bandwidth 10 fold. However, due to the fact that Amerige Heights is a new community, it has been exceedingly difficult to provide the long haul circuits into this area.

As a result, what typically would have taken a month to do has now been delayed to the end of February 2004.

However, we are happy to report that by the end of February 2004, the high speed circuits should be active.  The increase in bandwidth will be more than sufficient for today's observed bandwidth for the next 3 years.

Please accept our sincere apologies for this delay.  Your internet access speed will see dramatic improvement near the end of February.  Your patience is most appreciated.

Greenfield Communications will continue
to bring updates to you here.  Thanks again for your understanding.

Winter is here.  Did you remember to adjust your garden watering needs?

The shorter cooler days of winter are here and it is important that you remember to adjust your landscape watering to accommodate the season.  It’s easy to forget to make the adjustment especially when you rely on automatic systems to do the work.  Unfortunately, forgetfulness can lead to precious water running off saturated lawns and down our streets.

Over-watering doesn't just waste a precious resource - it can kill your plants.  Excessive watering prevents the soil from drying out, which can drown plants.  In addition, many plants' systems respond more to sunlight than to heat, so shorter days mean that many plants and trees have gone dormant, which also reduces their need for water.

Since it is impossible to come up with one plan for watering due to the many plants and soil types in Amerige Heights, you should check with your landscaper/gardner or visit a local nursery for more information.

Remember, the amount of water your lawn needs is probably less than you think!
