DESIGN REVIEW APPLICATION – LANDSCAPE INSTALLATION:

Have you submitted your Design Review Application for landscape installation?  Each homeowner must complete the installation of the front, side and rear yard landscaping, if applicable, in accordance with their approved plans within six (6) months after their Close of Escrow.  If you are in need of a Design Review Application, please contact the Action Property Management office at 949-450-0202 and one will be provided.

WHY DO YOU NEED A DEPOSIT FOR YOUR LANDSCAPE INSTALLATION?

The common areas surrounding your home are maintained by the Association, and any damage to these areas can lead to increased costs of maintenance, which directly effect your monthly assessments.  A security deposit is obtained from homeowners who are preparing to install their landscaping to ensure any damage caused by contractors performing the landscape installation, will be repaired by them.  The security deposit is held until the damage is repaired, and if the homeowner fails to repair the damage in accordance with the association guidelines, the installing homeowner – not the entire community, will incur the cost of repairs.  The association does not use the funds from the security deposit, these funds are held until the Notice of Completion form has been approved and any damage to the association common areas has been repaired.

WHAT’S ON YOUR MIND:

We receive many calls in the Action Property Management office from homeowners with questions or some great ideas for improvement in the Amerige Heights Community.  If you have questions or ideas, let us know about them.  E-mail Gerri Ann Vagadori at gvagadori@action-online.com.

RESTRICTED VEHICLES:

We have received many calls over the past few weeks from homeowners concerned about boats, RV’s and trailers parked in the Amerige Community.  Per Section 2.5.2 of the Association CC&R’s, restricted vehicles include recreational vehicles, motor homes, travel trailers, camper vans, boats and the like.  These vehicles may be parked in the garage or screened from view in a manner approved by the Design Review Committee.   Please do not park these within the community other than for loading or unloading.

BE COURTOUS OF YOUR NEIGHBORS:

One of the most unique calls we received recently from an Amerige homeowner indicated they could not exit their home due to a vehicle parking in front of their driveway.   After several hours of frustration, a nearby homeowner’s friend removed the vehicle.  Please be courteous of your neighbors and park in the designated areas, ensuring your vehicle does not overlap in the neighboring driveways.  In addition, please ensure you vehicle is parked facing the correct direction.

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE:

Gardner Park is open to the public and is maintained by the homeowners Association.  Doggie bags will be installed shortly to assist in pet cleanup.  Central Park construction continues with anticipated delivery by year-end.  The final asphalt paving around the new Elementary School should be completed shortly, while construction on the City of Fullerton Sports Park continues to move forward with planned amenities including a soccer field, softball diamond, concessions and play areas.  The design for the Community Center building, another City project, recently went for Planning Commission review and MBK Homes has broken ground on their new project in the Amerige Community.

NEXT REGULAR MEETING:

The next Regular Meeting of the Amerige Heights Community Association Board of Directors is scheduled for Tuesday, September 30, 2003 – Homeowners Forum – 6:00 PM.  The meeting will be held at the Fern Drive Elementary School, 1400 W. Fern Drive, Fullerton in the multi purpose room.

BASKETBALL BACKBOARDS:

Basketball backboards permanently attached to the home or garage are permitted with the submittal of an architectural application for review and approval.  Moveable freestanding basketball backboards are allowed but must be stored out of view of residential lots when not in use.  Please ensure you are bringing your freestanding basketball backboard in when it is not in use.
